In my observations…past and recent..ive come to the conclusion that the never-ending pursuit for the that “magical” catalyst to make life better, easier, and more convienent seems to overlay the importance of the actual hard work that it takes to have a life that is better, easier, and more convienent.
We live in a country where instant gratification claims throne to the satisfaction of one. Our cars gotta be faster, our foods gotta be quicker (and good tasting AND lookin), our education process is becoming less and less timeworthy to obtain.
From the 3 year bachelor degreee programs to the pluthera of microwaved foods that infest our supermarkets…it would be logical to think that we are pretty spoiled and blessed (oh no!) to have the options that we do.
HOWEVER!!
There always seems to be that “missing link” that everyone is in serach for.
Whether it be the consumer demand that drives business men to come up quick-money schemes or the relaiance of someone to come up with the “best” new idea.
One good example i could think of right on top of my head is physical fitness.
The general public, due to the media pressure to be thin and look pretty, wants to be fit. But i would say most of the general public, NOT ALL, beleive that being “fit” means being thin. Being fit means healthy on the inside most of all and not being obese. a lil bit of fat IS ok…the most fit people on earth all have fat on them..and consume FATS and CARBS…….i kno right??
The whole “No trans fat” fad and the low carb stuff are trends by far…in order to lose fat is weeks and weeks of cardio and light lighting. thats it. Besides eating right, there is NO catalyst to losing weight. There is no magic workout in 30 min that could melt ur fat away. There is no magic pill to make it all go away. It takes DEDICATION, ATTITUDE, and DETERMINATION in order to be truly fit..
I see people who have routines in their daily lives that seems to wokr for them..and thats great. But i too often see people who change up their routine..ALOT..i guess theur trying to find that right rotatrion of ways to get ready..study..eat…read..watever. Are they looking for that catalyst?? u be the judge.
i beleive that if are reading this..u get the jist of what im tryin to say..pretty much common sense..
In life, time and perseverance wins.
